Robert Garibay was born and raised in District 7. Robert attended Lawrence Powell Elementary School, Sul Ross Middle School, Business Careers High School, and currently attends Northwest Vista College. During his time at Business Careers Robert was a member of the football team his Freshman year until he was injured and had to leave the team, he was a member of the JROTC program from through the end of his Sophomore year. In his junior year Robert was student of the inaugural Oracle Program class. In his Senior year he became involved in the Presidential Election supporting Hillary Clinton. When Clinton left the race he supported Barack Obama. Robert enrolled in Northwest Vista College for the Fall and it was during this time that Robert thought about a run for City Council. Robert ran for City Council where he lost a tough contest that featured the incumbent Justin Rodriguez and former Councilwoman Elena Guajardo. Robert ran a great campaign and is very proud of the issues that were brought to the table because of his candidacy. At this time Robert is enjoying life in District 7.

  • Attended the Inspiration Hills Neighborhood Association meeting
  • Attended the Thunderbird Hills Forum
  • Met with the Alamo Group of the Sierra Club
  • Met with Councilwoman Delicia Herrera
  • Spoke to Teens at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center
  • Spoke to Children at the Boys and Girls Club Calderon Center
  • Took part in the District 7 Candidate Forum hosted by The Donaldson Terrace Neighborhood Association, Inspiration Hills HOA, Jefferson Neighborhood Association, Monticello Park Neighborhood Association, Sunshine Estates Neighborhood Association, and the University Park Neighborhood Association.
